Capable . . . Called . . . and Exhausted.

Do you ever feel like you are trying to be a Proverbs 31 woman and just never find time to slow down? I have been there and done that time and time again. I have to say being the director of Girlfriends Unlimited and being the type of person who feels the need to make sure everything is "just-so" has really made it hard for me to learn to let go. I have to let go of some of the responsibilities and realize that there are a beautiful, wonderful, and incredibly talented women on my team who are capable of fulfilling these duties. I think it stems from being the director at home, too (and face it, we all know what happens if you let go of your role as director at home.)

I have gotten better at this and I love the women on this team who constantly tell me "I can do that" or "let one of us do that." For so long this was my idea and I felt like I had to have everything together in order for anyone to be on the same train. I am slowly learning to sit back and enjoy the ride. (and a special note to the girlfriends on my team - I am trying to remember that it's WE now, not I. So please, if it comes out as "I" rest assured that I actually mean "WE" and that old habits are hard to break . . .)
