GIRLFRIENDS GIVE BACK WINE AND WORK SESSION

We are having a 'GIRLFRIENDS GIVE BACK' work session on November 22, 2009 at 3:30 pm at Fresh Cuts Boutique (it is normally closed Sundays). We will be making fleece scarves, hats, and packing up soup kits for the needy in our community/churches. This is going to be a good chance for us to show our community how active we can be!

I have contacted the churches in the community and the Family Resource Center as to what their needs are and there are many.

We can use all the hands we can get and we would like everyone coming to please bring at least 2 yards of fleece (whatever colors you like - we will be making scarves for elderly, families, and children - so solids or prints are fine), at least 1 can of mixed vegetables, and a can of chicken to help us make our kits.

Many stores have fleece on sale right now. I went to Wal Mart yesterday and picked up several yards at 2.87 each and a few at 4.44 each - regular price. You can also contact me for links to printable coupons for 40% off at Joann's and Hobby Lobby.

Other supplies we will be needing (if you have these at your disposal)
*sharp scissors to cut fabric
*scissors to cut paper (for those of us who don't cut paper with our fabric scissors - HA)
*rotary cutter - mat to cut on
*ribbon, any variety - for tying packages
*holiday wrapping paper
*scotch tape
*shoe/sneaker boxes to wrap soup kits
*medium/large sized baggies

We will be having wine, soda, water, and snacks available. (Feel free to bring something if you'd like.)

If you ordered them, we will hopefully have your bible study materials there that night for you to pick up.
